Six slots, infinite combinations

The system.

Every iconkind character is built from the same six interchangeable slots. Pick an archetype, fill the slots — get a character.

1.

Skin tone

Light, medium, deep. Each tone matched against the warm peach palette so the cast feels like a family.

2.

Outfit

Dungarees-green, knit-blue, spacesuit, lab coat. Outfits are about role and vibe, not body type.

3.

Icon

The thing they carry — leaf, shield, spanner, key, book. Each icon shifts what the character means.

4.

Face

Default smile, sleepy, curious, surprised, focused. Default works for most scenes; specials for moments.

5.

Hair

Tuft-light, tuft-dark, spike, pony, none-under-helmet. Colour follows skin-tone palette.

6.

Hat

Knit-green, beanie, helmet, sun-hat, none. Optional unless the archetype requires one.

Three archetypes

Different rules, same family.

Archetypes set which slots are available. The minimal mascot doesn't need a hat; the spacefarer always wears one.

Standard

All six slots available. The default. Most members of the cast.

Spacefarer

Helmet always on. No separate hair slot. Outfit constrained to space suits.

Mascot · Minimal

Body + face + icon only. No outfit, hair, or hat. Just the essential silhouette.
